1. What Kaziloop is
Kaziloop is a listing platform where workers create profiles and employers find them. We are not the employer and do not place workers. Employment terms are agreed between the employer and the worker.
2. Fees
Creating a profile and browsing are free. Employers may pay to unlock a worker's full profile, chat, or phone number. Workers may pay an optional verification fee. Current prices are always shown before you pay. Payments are made by M-Pesa and are not refundable once the unlock is delivered. Workers receive a share of unlock fees in their Kaziloop wallet, which they can withdraw to M-Pesa.
3. Sharing your phone number
By creating a worker profile you agree that your phone number may be shown to employers who pay to unlock it, without asking you each time. You can hide your profile at any time from your profile page, after which no new employer can unlock your number.
4. Verification
We do not ask for, collect or store ID cards, selfies with ID or police certificates. Our team verifies workers by calling them, a short phone or video interview, and calling the references they give. Employers see which of the three checks are done (Phone & photo, Interview, References) and what references said. When automatic checks are on, paying the verification fee by M-Pesa from the number on your profile ticks "Phone" at once; our team still calls you for the photo, interview and references. A tick reduces risk but is not a guarantee, and we do not check police records. Employers should still interview and agree terms in writing.
5. Your data
We process your personal data under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, to run the service, prevent fraud and handle payments. We do not sell your data. You may ask to see, correct or delete your data by contacting support. Photos you upload are stored privately and location data inside them is removed.
6. Location (GPS)
Location is optional. We only ask after you tap "Use my location", and your browser asks you to confirm. We save your position rounded to about 100 metres and use it only to show distances, for example "2.1 km away", and to sort workers by distance. Nobody else ever sees your exact position or address. While you use Kaziloop with location on, we update it at most every 30 minutes. We never track you in the background or when the site is closed. You can turn location off at any time from your profile, which deletes the saved position. If you are not logged in, your location is kept only for your current visit.
7. Your account
You can change your password, log out of every device, and delete your account from Account settings. Deleting removes your profile, photos, documents, messages and location. Payment records are kept without your name, because the law requires financial records. If you forget your password, we send a one-time code to your phone by SMS. Never share that code with anyone. Kaziloop staff will never ask for it.
8. Rules
No fake profiles, no requests for money from workers outside Kaziloop, no harassment. We can suspend accounts that break these rules. Report any profile using the "Report this profile" link.
